If a Grid/Graph is linked as a shortcut to a dataset report, any changes made to the source report are passed to the Grid/Graph in the document. If you no longer want the changes to be automatically updated in the document, or if you want to edit the Grid/Graph, you can unlink the shortcut. Unlinking removes the shortcut and creates a Grid/Graph in its place.
Open the document in Design Mode.
Select the Grid/Graph and from the Format menu select Properties and Formatting. The Properties and Formatting dialog box opens.
From the left, select Layout.
From the Grid area, clear the Shortcut check box. The Grid/Graph shortcut is unlinked.
Click Apply to save the changes.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
