The Select Derived Elements dialog box is used to choose which derived element to use. It allows you to browse to any derived element that you have access to.

The first drop-down menu allows you to specify a folder to look for a derived element in. When you select a folder from this drop-down menu, the contents of the folder are displayed in the pane below.
You can use the Find field to search for objects in the existing list of objects. Type the first few letters of the object name and click the Find icon. The pane at the bottom of the dialog box displays the results of your search.
Browse to a derived element, as described above.
Select one or more derived elements.
Click OK. The Select Derived Elements dialog box closes.
