Adding security settings to your History List will allow you to maintain the contents within the folder. For instance, you can keep it organized by applying a setting that will delete all of the read messages.
To access the Security preferences, select Preferences from the menu at the top of MicroStrategy Web, then click Security. The following options are available:
Cancel this session's pending requests?: Determine whether or not pending requests are cancelled when you log out of MicroStrategy Web. The options are:
Yes: Pending requests are cancelled when you log out of MicroStrategy Web.
No (default): Pending requests are not cancelled when you log out of MicroStrategy Web.
Remove the finished interactive jobs from the History List?: Determine whether or not finished report or document executions in the History List are deleted when you log out of MicroStrategy Web. The options are:
Yes: All finished report or document executions are deleted when you log out of MicroStrategy Web.
No (default): None of the finished report or document executions are deleted when you log out of MicroStrategy Web.
Only the read messages: Only the report or document results that have been viewed are deleted when you log out of MicroStrategy Web.
From the drop-down list at the bottom of the page, apply the changes to the current project or all projects you have access to that are stored on the Intelligence Server and then click Apply.
Warning: Clicking Load Default Values will reset all of your preferences settings.
