Prompts preferences

Any report can contain prompts. A prompt is a question presented to the user who runs the report. Depending on the answers the user provides, the report brings back and displays different data from the data source.

Answering a prompted report differently each time it is executed is one way to ensure that a report is executed against your data source and displays the most recent data. This is because different prompt answers usually require different data than what is stored in the report’s cache.

The Prompts preferences page lets you select whether to display all of your prompts on one page or multiple pages in your reports.

Select Preferences at the top of any page, and then click Prompts. The following options are available:

From the drop-down list at the bottom of the page, apply the changes to the current project or all projects you have access to that are stored on the Intelligence Server and then click Apply.

Warning: Clicking Load Default Values will reset all of your preferences settings.
