Formatting panel stack borders

When you format the borders of a panel stack, the formatting applies to all panels in the panel stack. You can apply a basic line border, a 3D border to give the panel stack a three-dimensional appearance like a button, or drop shadows which float the panel stack on top of the background.

To format the borders of a panel stack

  1. Open the document in Design or Editable Mode.

  2. Right-click the panel stack to format and select Properties and Formatting. The Properties and Formatting dialog box opens.

  3. From the left, select Color and Lines.

  4. From the first drop-down list at the top, select whether to format the entire Panel Stack (this formatting is displayed when any of the panels on the stack are transparent) or All Panels (this formatting is applied to every panel in the stack).

  5. From the second drop-down list at the top, select whether to format the panel Title or Body.

    1. From the left, select Effects.

    2. Select the Enable 3D Borders check box.

    3. From the Effect drop-down list, specify whether the 3D borders are Sunken (like a pushed button) or Raised.

    4. Specify the thickness of the 3D borders in the Weight field.

  8. To apply a drop shadow:

    1. From the left, select Effects.

    2. Select the Enable Drop Shadows check box.

    3. Specify the distance between the panel stack and the drop shadow using the Distance slider.

  9. Click OK to apply the formatting changes.
