Filter On Metric dialog box

A view filter restricts the amount of data displayed on the report and provides you with a different view of the data. You can create a view filter based on a rank range of values, or by defining a condition that is based on any metric on your report. You must own the OLAP Services product to create a view filter. For more details, see the View Filters chapter in the OLAP Services Guide.

Use the Filter on Metric dialog box to create a filter on a selected metric based on a rank range of metric values or on a condition. The view filter on a rank range of metric values lets you to view analysis such as the bottom 20 products in terms of profit margin while the view filter based on a condition lets you to view analysis such as employees between 30% and 60% of tenure length with the company.
